I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions, but for 2017 I wanted to make a real change in one area of my life. I wanted to switch to using reusable menstrual products (RUMPs) 100% of the time. I already went back to using a menstrual cup in the summer of 2016, and I have a serious love for my Öko Créations pantyliners I started using around the same time. I was firmly on my way to being a RUMPs convert by the end of 2016, so making the change to go reusable all the time seemed like something I was absolutely ready to commit to. Why? For starters, RUMPs are better for me and better for the environment. The other reason? They actually work! But what about cloth pads? This was a territory I had not yet ventured into. I hadn’t used pads on a regular basis in a really long time (aside from using them during the first handful of weeks postpartum), but since I already loved my Öko Créations liners, I jumped at the chance to try Öko Créations cloth pads. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed! Read More

Les Produits de MaYa‘s liniment is a staple in my house. I first discovered this amazing product over a year ago, and it was easily one of the best products I tried in 2016. What exactly is liniment? In a nutshell, it’s an olive oil and lime water based cleansing milk that’s made primarily for cleaning baby bums. What’s in Les Produits de MaYa’s liniment? The ingredients are simple, natural, and mostly organic. All the varieties are made with certified organic extra virgin first cold pressed olive oil, lime water (which is not citrus fruit water, but rather calcium hydroxide dissolved in water), certified organic carnauba wax, grapefruit seed extract, and vitamin E. The additional ingredients of certified organic coconut oil and certified organic shea butter are added to the coconut oil, shea butter, and coconut oil with shea butter varieties. It’s also certified vegan. If you’ve never heard of liniment and aren’t sure what all the fuss is about, you can read my full review of Les Produits de MaYa’s liniment. Recently, Les Produits de MaYa introduced a new larger size bottle of their liniment and it has me all excited! Here’s what you need to know: Read More

My quest for the perfect nursing bra has been a long one. There are a lot of things I want in a nursing bra. Comfort, one-handed snap down cups, excellent nursing access, wire-free, good support, and a little style wouldn’t hurt. You’d think this wouldn’t be all too difficult to find in a nursing bra. After all, there are SO MANY brands out there that surely there would be many that fit the bill. There’s just one tiny little problem. I don’t have a popular bra size. My band size is too small for the cup size I need. I’ll just come right out with it: I wear a 30 FF or a 30 G nursing bra. Maybe you didn’t know band sizes could be that small or maybe you didn’t know cup sizes really went that big, but they do and I have both. I can’t even begin to tell you how many nursing bras I’ve tried on, how many nursing tanks with built in bras I’ve wanted to buy, but it just ain’t happening. Very few brands even make a 30 band size, and when they do, the cup sizes often top out at D/DD or E if I’m lucky. That just doesn’t cut it for me. To date, I have found one nursing bra that actually fits me and meets all my nursing bra criteria. ONE. It comes in just one colour and I have two of them. That’s it. Scratch that, I used to only have a single nursing bra brand and style that fit, but the Cadenshae Ultimate Bra just changed all that. Read More
