What exactly is a babybay®? The babybay® is more than just a co-sleeper, it’s a bedside sleeper that actually attaches securely to any regular bed (with or without a boxspring). It is made out of locally sourced beechwood, so it’s sustainable AND offers natural antibacterial and antistatic protection. The babybay® is manufactured in Germany and is made to the highest European standards. There are four finishes to choose from, and each is done with a high quality water-based finish that is non-toxic and no or low VOC. That definitely promotes a safe sleeping environment for your precious little bundle. The height of the platform of the babybay® is fully adjustable, so it will fit most bed heights with ease.

You might be worried that it’s going to take ages to put it together and get it in place correctly, but don’t be! The babybay® takes just 15 minutes to set up, so you won’t be arguing with your partner over which part goes where for hours on end (unless I’m the only one that’s ever tried to assemble furniture with their spouse?). How does it attach to the bed? For a bed with a boxspring, there’s a special anchoring system that pulls across the top of the boxspring and secures on the opposite side of the bed. The mattress then goes on top of the straps and the anchor sits flush against the bed. It’s brilliant. You can be confident that the babybay® is absolutely secure to the side of the bed and won’t be going anywhere. Don’t have a boxspring? No problem! Frame anchors are available that hook the babybay® onto the bed frame so it isn’t going to shift about.

Once you’ve got the babybay® set up against the bed, you’ve created a perfect little sleep nest for you and your baby. It’s like bed sharing and co-sleeping without losing even an inch of your own sleep space. Baby is within arm’s reach for those late night feedings, and best of all, baby is close AND safe in the babybay®. The babybay® is nice and sturdy too. There’s no plywood or plastic here, just strong sturdy beechwood, so you can feel confident that it’s not a flimsy piece of furniture that won’t stand the test of time. It’s so quick to detach the babybay® from your bed, that you can even use it as a bassinet or a bedside sleeper interchangeably as needed. I love that! The babybay® also grows with your child. When they’ve outgrown it as a bedside sleeper or mini crib, you can put two babybays® together to make it a full size crib (conversion kit is coming soon to the USA). Once your child is ready to move to a toddler bed or full size bed, the babybay® converts into a bench for the kids. Perfect for the playroom!
